The Top 5 Places to Rent a Designer Bag as Milan Fashion Week Commences!
Milan Fashion Week is well underway and is back to its pre-pandemic glory with a buzzing schedule. If you'd like a piece of the action, why not take a look at these top 5 places to rent a designer bag!
The live shows have returned for the first time since the start of the pandemic, which will showcase some of the biggest names in fashion - from the likes of Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Bottega Veneta.
The COVID-19 pandemic had a massive impact on the fashion industry worldwide, as production and retailers closed and demand tumbled.
In March 2020, clothing sales plummeted 34% as many consumers were unable to travel or socialise. Online shopping, however, increased by 22%.
Thanks to the thriving online retail industry and higher fashion consciousness post- pandemic, fashion rental services have also gained increasing attention from consumers.
Fashion rental app By Rotation saw user numbers grow by 425% in 2021 compared to the previous year.
Clothing rental increased by 200% in 2021 and the designer rental industry is predicted to reach $2.8 billion by 2025.
The option of renting designer goods enables consumers to extend the lifespan of their wardrobes, giving more people access to luxury, high quality items.
Designer handbags are also seeing a huge spike in rentals. Google Trends data showed a 88% increase in the term “rent designer bags” in January 2022 alone.
With that being said, by using the number of Instagram hashtags, the team at Betway have discovered the most popular handbags of 2022, and also listed where you can find these luxury goods for a fraction of the price.
Coming in at number one with over 6.5 million hashtags is Chanel. Gucci takes second place with just over 3.4 million, while Louis Vuitton has 1.9 million hashtags. This comes as no surprise as Louis Vuitton and Chanel were listed as the two most valuable brands in the world in 2021, in terms of US dollars.
Betway have also discovered the top five places that you can rent your favourite designer handbag, all from the comfort of your own home.
