The Entrepreneurial Stylist | The Predictions I Made for 2018...

As we prepare to enter year 2019, I am sure that many of you are contemplating setting goals and targets for the year ahead. I’ve yet to set mine for next year. I’m not sure this year whether to set any goals this year or whether I will instead pursue positivity, the feeling of happiness and self-satisfaction in my work. One thing I have found to be inspiring and motivating is something I did for the first time at the beginning of this year.

At the start of 2018 I made a list of big goals, accompanied by a list of predictions of what I would like to have accomplished by New Year’s Eve 2018. I wrote down what I wanted to achieve in the form of a letter and sealed it in an envelope. My plan is to read it on New Year’s Eve to see how much I have achieved and whether my plans and predictions for the year realised themselves. What I like most about this idea is that it’s like setting goals but in a fun and creative way. Knowing that I had written this letter gave me something to work towards because I didn’t want to be disappointed at the end of the year had I not made any progress with my plans. On the other hand, I feel completely comfortable if it turns out that I haven’t achieved everything I had set out to do this year. Sometimes other things happen and why you might not arrive at one goal, you may find that you went a different way around things and achieved something better or equally as amazing!

I can’t remember exactly what I wrote at the beginning of this year. Thinking back to the beginning of 2018 when I wrote down what I wanted to happen this year and concealed it in a mini pink envelope, I was in the midst of my Ethical Style Project and there was so much going on. I’m looking forward to opening this little pink envelope in a couple of day’s time. No matter the outcome of this exercise, I think I will repeat this at the beginning of 2019 and make a list of predictions and goals I want to accomplish for the end of next year. In the meantime I am going to use my Bullet Journal to stay focused and organised so that I am always moving forward in my business.
