11 of The Best Cruelty-Free Tanning Products for a Quality Glow

With summer just around the corner, you’re probably starting to work on your pre-summer glow. There are so many tanning solutions available to us so it’s about finding the right tanning tool that suits you. I’m going to be giving a rundown of some of the best cruelty-free tanning products to help you find the one that best suits you.
Cruelty-Free Tanning
Top tip! Before we get started with looking at sunless tanning products, I just wanted to share with you something I had completely overlooked! Use an SPF under your eyes if you’re not already doing so. If (as I do) you suffer from dark under eye circles, despite getting plenty of sleep and following a healthy lifestyle, it might be skin pigmentation! Do you apply an SPF on the skin under your eyes? If not, it is time to start! Your dark circles might be caused by pigmentation from exposure to the sun.

Cruelty-Free Sunless Tanners

Sunless tanners are tanning oils, lotions and sprays that darken your skin once applied. The strength of the tan will vary depending on the individual product. I didn’t just choose these self-tanners because they are cruelty-free. I was actually using many of these before I switched to cruelty-free. As you will see, some of the products are well known, top tanning products anyway – and I certainly agree!

The Importance of Safe, Cruelty-Free Tanning

Safe tanning is really important. Although a little exposure to the sun is healthy, overdoing it can be very harmful and damaging to your skin. Too much exposure to direct sunlight can cause your skin to prematurely age, not to mention the more serious health risks! When I say cruelty-free, I mean products that have not been tested on animals and cause no harm to living beings. If you want to keep your pre-summer tanning regime as safe as possible then you will most likely want to avoid spraying potentially harmful chemicals on to your skin.

Remember to stay safe, have fun and always use an SPF!
