The 100 Day Goal Challenge: 1 Goal, 100 Days, 150 Microactions
Could you commit to doing something every day for 100 days? It seems like such a long time, but I actually can’t believe how fast it has gone! I’m talking about the 100 Day Goal Challenge, run by the fabulous Julia Bickerstaff at The Business Bakery. When I signed up for the challenge I wanted to get back into a routine in my business and I wanted to make a change in my business. I thought that the 100 day challenge, which focuses on taking action every single day, would be the perfect kick-starter to making things happen! And this it has been!
A couple of years ago I read a book called The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen. It is centred around the principle of making things happen by doing one small thing every single day. If you’re in the process of studying something, setting yourself the goal of studying for 30 minutes every single day will make it much easier for you to complete the task. It’s the small but consistent things we do that have the biggest impact on our lives. This is how the 100 Day Goal Challenge works!

I first discovered The Business Bakery and the 100 Day Goal Challenge a couple of years ago. I signed up but didn’t really have a specific goal in mind. And as they say in Alice in Wonderland:
If you don’t have a set goal in mind, it doesn’t really matter what happens along the way or at the end. It’s like getting in your car and just driving without having an end destination in mind. So last time I signed up for the challenge I only completed about 20 days – not bad considering I didn’t really know what I wanted to achieve from the project! This year however, I made some changes to Online Personal Stylist and I thought that the 100 Day Goal Challenge would be the perfect motivator to help steer me in the right direction to complete what needed to be done. The daily motivational emails and quotes helped to keep me on track and were just the little boost I needed each morning! This time I haven’t dropped and out and plan to see the challenge through to the end (we have just over a week to go!)
Did I achieve what I set out to accomplish? YES! In fact, throughout the course of the project, I’ve gained so much clarity about what I really want to do with my business. It’s helped me to define what’s important and what isn’t. It’s helped me to get clear on what tasks are going to move my business forward from those less effective tasks that I use to make me “look busy”.
I’d highly recommend taking part and now, there is a brand new 100 Day Goal website, dedicated to the FREE challenge itself! The next round starts September 1st. I'm so excited, it's like being back at school again and looking forward to a brand new school year! Time to sharpen the pencils and get my fresh new notebooks ready! I will be taking part again, will you? ?

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
'I don't much care where -' said Alice.
'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
'- so long as I get SOMEWHERE,' Alice added as an explanation.
'Oh, you're sure to do that,' said the Cat, 'if you only walk long enough.”
